The Music Ministry at St. Ferdinand consists of four ensembles - the Family Choir, the 5PM Choir, the Youth Choir and the 9AM Ensemble. There is also an opportunity to be a cantor for select Masses.
If you are interested in any of the groups, please come and join us. You don't have to be able to read music, just love to praise God in song and minister to people. Come Christians, Join to Sing!
For information on any of the music ensembles, please contact Mike Miloshewski.
The 5PM Choir leads music at the 4:30 PM Saturday night Mass weekly (year round) and rehearses at 3:45PM on Saturdays immediately before Mass. This is a great group for those that can't commit to a formal rehearsal but still love to help lead music at Mass.
The 9AM Ensemble is an informal group that leads music at the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass weekly (year round) and rehearses at 8:30 AM on Sundays immediately before Mass. This is a great group for those that can't commit to a formal rehearsal but still loves to help lead music at Mass.
The Youth Choir (grades 3 through 8) rehearses 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. They minister at 9:00 AM Mass on one Sunday per month.
The Family Choir is made up of people ages high school and up. This group provides a great opportunity for individual contributors and also provides an opportunity for families to minister together. The group will rehearse every Thursday from 7:30 - 9:30 PM in the church. The Family Choir will minister at the 11:00 AM Mass on Sundays, Holy Days and special celebrations, as well as various concerts throughout the year.
Do you enjoy great contemporary liturgical music? If so, come check out the Cross Roads Band! This group features a full band including guitars, bass, drums and more, and is guaranteed to get your feet tapping. Come check out the Cross Roads Band as they typically lead music the third Sunday of the month at 11:00AM Mass. This is an established group, but come sing from the pews and lift your voices high!
The Cantors minister as song leaders regularly as scheduled by the coordinator.
