Financial Assistance

Saint Ferdinand Catholic School is funded by tuition and parish subsidies. The actual cost to educate a student is higher than the tuition total, and the school thanks all who contribute with the Tuition Assistance envelopes and support the school in many ways.

There are multiple ways in which a family can help offset the cost of tuition:

  • Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance: Alive in Christ! is the Archdiocesan elementary school scholarship program.  View the Alive in Christ! information online or obtain a copy through the school office.
  • Catholic Family Tuition Assistance (CFTA) is the Archdiocesan elementary and high school endowment fund.  Information and the application are at www.factstuitionaid.com.  This application is also available through the school office.
  • Parish Financial Assistance is offered on an as needed basis. To be considered for any parish financial assistance, the response letter from the Alive in Christ! application must be provided.  See above regarding the Alive in Christ! application.  To apply for St.Ferdinand parish financial assistance, complete this Financial Assistance Form, or obtain a copy through the school office.  The completed form should be returned to the parish office, and should not be returned to the school.
  • St. Ferdinand's Scrip Program participation can also reduce tuition fees.  Gift cards can be purchased through the St. Ferdinand rectory during the week or after the Saturday and Sunday Masses, with a small percentage of your sales reducing your tuition twice a year.

Applications must be completed before April 1st of each school year. However, for the sake of your family's security and peace of mind, and for the general financial stability of the school, we encourage parents/guardians to contact the Pastor or the Principal as soon as possible during the school year when experiencing economic difficulties.

If you have any questions regarding the financial assistance opportunities that are available, please call the School Office (314-921-2201) or the Parish Office (314-837-3165) to request the contact information for the individual who oversees the assistance program.
