Legion of Mary is a lay organization started at St. Ferdinand in November 1958. It is an association of catholic men and women who foster deeper devotion to Mary among all people through daily prayers and charitable acts. The purpose of the legion is 1) to increase the personal holiness of members through imitation of the virtues of Mary, the Mediatrix of all graces; 2) to undertake various apostolic works, such as helping the elderly and infirmed, and taking communion to the homebound. The organization is made up of auxiliary and active members with Fr. Bill Baier as the moderator. They meet every Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Duchesne Center. All parishioners are welcome.
