Boy Scouts

St. Ferdinand is the institutional sponsor of Troop 939, a chartered unit of the Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scout program in the U.S. has been in existence more than 75 years, and is designated to help young men become responsible citizens through the principles of duty to God, duty to country, duty to others, and duty to self. This is achieved through a variety of programs; many of which stress outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, biking and swimming. Our troop is open to any young man in the parish who is at least 11 years old (or has completed 5th grade) and has not yet reached his 18th birthday.
