Adult Faith Development

All Christians, indeed all humankind, enjoy a personal relationship with God and are on an individual journey to grow ever closer to him.  One of the best ways we can encounter God is through the fellow Christians with whom we journey.  Adult Faith Development fosters continual spiritual growth by offering small faith study groups where the common questions for life, faith, and God can be explored in a nurturing, supportive environment.  If you would like more information on becoming part of the coordinating team, please call the Parish Office at 837-3165.

St. Ferdinand Adult Faith Development Lent/Easter 2021 Session

Do you want to learn more about the Eucharist and how what we believe is rooted in Scripture? Then please join us in reading “ Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist ” by Brandt Pitre, PhD, an 8-chapter book that explains the Biblical context of what we believe about the Eucharist.

We will be meeting both in person and via Zoom to discuss a chapter per week for 8 weeks in Duchesne Hall on Mondays at 7:00 pm from March 1st to April 26th 2021. We will not meet on Monday March 29th (Holy Week). Please contact Deacon Phil at deaconphil@stferdinandstl.org or Paul Segura at plsegura@charter.net or 314-831-1197 to register.

The book is available on Amazon, Kindle, Apple Books, and Pauline Books. Please contact Deacon Phil if you cannot afford the book.

Please read the first chapter to prepare for the first session.
